Using smart generators

A Smart Generator imports project configuration from files that third-party software creates—for example, PLC programming packages or generic XML files—and writes the PcVue configuration through PcVue configuration management interfaces.

In general, Smart Generators create variables and communication links only. They are more than simple converters: you can filter, convert, and reshape data so it fits PcVue.
