Running in demonstration mode
When you start PcVue and no license is detected, you can start in Demonstration mode. Demonstration mode is similar in capability to an HMI station, including all data acquisition channels, with a time-limited trial.

Use demonstration mode for evaluation only. It is not intended for production operation.
Demonstration mode limitations
The demonstration mode includes the following restrictions:

| I/O variable limit | Maximum of 25 I/O variables | Limited number of data points that can be configured. |
| Communication restrictions | No inter-station messaging | Communication between PcVue stations is disabled. |
| Time limitations | 1-hour data acquisition sessions | Data acquisition runs for a maximum of 1 hour in any single session. |
| Time limitations | Session restart required | Restart PcVue to begin a new 1-hour session. |
| Client limitations | Maximum of 2 WebVue clients | Only two simultaneous WebVue connections are allowed. |
