Uninstalling PcVue

Maintenance covers uninstalling, modifying, or repairing the installed programs.

Important information before uninstalling​

  • Removing PcVue or the Web Deployment Tools does not remove prerequisites.
  • Maintaining PcVue does not affect configured projects. As a precaution, back up any project and library you want to keep before maintenance.
  • Shared libraries are updated over time. The uninstall process removes shared libraries and library files or folders created by installation, even if changed. If your project uses shared libraries, back them up before uninstalling, even if you plan to reinstall the same version.

Uninstalling PcVue​

  1. Start maintenance from original installation media, or from Apps & features / Programs and Features in Windows, until the Program Maintenance dialog appears.

  2. In the Program Maintenance dialog (shown below), select Remove and click Next.

  3. Follow the sequence of dialogs. A confirmation dialog appears before uninstallation starts.

Uninstalling prerequisites​

Uninstall prerequisites only if you want to fully remove software components that setup installed. If you uninstall prerequisites while you keep the product installed, the product does not run correctly.

Uninstalling a prerequisites bundle does not uninstall individual components. To fully remove prerequisites, uninstall the bundle and individual components.

Uninstalling an individual prerequisite component may fail if another software uses it, or that software may stop working.
